People who run a 2000cfm fan with the stock radiator and thermostat in hot climates are going to overheat. You choose a fan that's around 3000cfm and upgrade your radiator, thermostat, pipes and radiator cap, and you'll be fine, trust me, as long as you don't have any leaks or problems with your water pump or something. Just because everybody says "DON'T DO X" doesn't mean it can't be done successfully. My .02.
